Your Home Furnishings Manufacturing Solutions Expo Checklist: Getting Ready for Greenville

GREENVILLE, SC – With just days left until the Home Furnishings Manufacturing Solutions Expo here in mid-July, attendees and exhibitors alike are making their final plans.

The Expo features a wide variety of exhibitors showcasing the latest in manufacturing equipment, systems, software and technology specifically developed for the furniture and home furnishings industry.

Here’s a quick checklist of what you need for your Expo visit:

When and Where:

• The show is set for July 18 and 19, Wednesday and Thursday, at the TD Convention Center in Greenville, SC, in the heart of the Carolinas furniture-manufacturing region and only a short drive from the High Point NC Triad.
• The show opens both days at 10am and runs until 5pm on opening day and 4pm on Thursday.
   
• The TD Convention Center is a modern facility with full convention services. It is located at 1 Exposition Drive, just off the I-385 By-pass and minutes from I-85. It is also convenient to the Greensboro Spartanburg International Airport.
   
• Complimentary parking is available in the main lot for the convention center off Exposition Drive. Attendees will want to look for steps leading to the Hall1 entrance or the flagpoles that are near the door.  Handicap spaces are available near the west-end entrance of the main lot.

Registration
Free registration is available until July 13th.  After that date, there is a $50 charge and you will have to register at the show.  To register at no charge, go to hfmse.com, click the registration button and enter promo code MyGuest.

The Expo will be particularly relevant for those in the following areas of the industry: designers, engineers, machine operators, plant managers, procurement officers, purchasing managers, quality control managers, research and development managers and specifiers.

Hotel:

The HFMSE has made special arrangements with the Hilton Greenville for hotel rooms during the show. A complimentary shuttle from the airport and to and from the TD Convention Center is available.

Special Events:

Those attending the HFMSE should also be aware of several special events being held at the show. The Manufacturing Excellence Awards will recognize furniture and home furnishings vendors who have excelled in their manufacturing operations. An awards ceremony and reception is open to all attendees and will be held on July 18 at 3:30pm at the Educational Pavilion on the show floor.

There will also be an Educational Program on both days of the shows featuring several presentations on the industry. Featured speakers include well-known industry analyst Jerry Epperson and Bill Perdue of the American Home Furnishings Alliance.

Finally, there will be Exhibitor Presentations featuring detailed information on new technologies and services available to industry suppliers.
